The total processes of gasification and producing Hydrogen are broadly four processes: Gasification, cooling, cleaning, and separation. The latter three processes are the same for any type of gasification. The type of gasification depends on the selected gasifier.
Fixed-bed Gasifier
- Fixed-bed gasifiers also called as the moving-bed gasifiers. The feedstock (Ex: coal) and flux are loaded from the top of the reactor.
- The inner walls of the reactor are lined with ceramic/refractory materials.
- These gasifiers usually operate at a pressures between 2.5-3.0 MPa.
- The maximum operating temperature of these type gasifiers are around 1500 K.
Fixed bed: Feed rate of 100 kg/hr to 4 TPH; The efficiency of the gasifier is in the range of 45 to 55 %. Our gasifiers are continuous feed gasifiers. Operates at 1300 to 1500 K. Please contact us for your custom-made gasifier.
Fluidized-bed Gasifier
- The feedstock particles are suspended in an oxygen-rich gas. Hence, this reactor is called a Fluidized-bed gasifier. Coal particle size is maintained well below 10 mm.
- Steam and oxidant enter at the bottom, and the momentum of the oxidizer stream is maintained sufficiently to fully suspend the reactor bed. Fine pulverized coal is loaded from the side of the reactor.
- Synthesis gas exits the reactor from its upper part, and the ash exits from its lower part. Fluidized-bed gasifiers are best suited for low-rank coals and biomass.
- The syngas is passed to the cyclone separator to separate the particles and gas

Plasma Gasifier
- The heat source is provided by plasma torches in the plasma gasifier. Plasma torches are arranged close to the bottom of the reactor vessel that heats the system during the gasification process.
